The leather carries memory before you do. Giorgio Brato's Perfecto arrives from Bologna already weathered by hand -- vegetable-tanned lamb submerged, washed, and garment-dyed after the jacket is fully constructed, so the pigment settles into every seam and fold with the randomness of geological time.

This is the tinto in capo ritual that defines Brato's workshop: the complete garment is hand-colored as a single organism rather than cut from pre-dyed hides. The result is a surface that shifts between deep charcoal and ashen grey across the panels, blistered and corroded in places where the dye pools or recedes. No two jackets emerge identical. The vegetable-tanned lamb is featherweight against the skin yet dense enough to develop deeper patina with each wear, the grain softening and darkening where your body presses most -- inner elbows, across the shoulders, along the zip line.

The Perfecto silhouette is cut to hip length with notched lapels and an asymmetrical front zipper in silver-tone hardware. Anatomical paneling traces the shoulder blades through diagonal seam lines, while ribbed wool cuffs at the wrists create a textural counterpoint -- the warmth of knit against cool, matte hide. Shoulder epaulettes anchor the structure with quiet authority. Three external zip pockets and one internal pocket sit flush against the body, their hardware catching light only when you move.
