D.HYGEN applies the dip-dye technique to a rayon-cotton-linen blend that absorbs unevenly, creating asymmetric saturation that pools at the exposed seams and softens at the edges. The result is a gradient that belongs to this shirt alone - warm tones fading into deep charcoal across the panels.
The construction shows its skeleton. Raw-edge finishes at the collar, shoulders, and hem. Seam allowances sit on the exterior - exposed, deliberate. The mandarin collar stands low, its top edge left to soften with wear. The rayon content gives the fabric a subtle liquid sheen, shifting between matte and luminous depending on how light catches the surface. Structured paneling creates dimension without bulk.
This is STRAINISM as material philosophy. Tension between finished form and raw construction, between controlled dye application and the organic way fabric drinks color.
