Textured Silver Band with Gold Detail

A fracture filled with gold. One vein of raw 18k gold melted into oxidized sterling silver -- Enri Mars's Kintsugi philosophy reduced to its most essential gesture.

This narrow band begins as a coarse terrain of hand-cast 925 sterling silver, its surface scarred and cratered by deliberate geological texturing in the Imola workshop. Every ridge is irregular, every valley darkened by oxidation until the metal resembles stone that has weathered centuries underground. Then the intervention: a single asymmetric fragment of 18k gold fused into the silver surface like a mineral deposit breaking through bedrock. Not centered, not polished, not conforming to any symmetry -- placed where the metal itself wanted it.

The band sits narrow and close against the finger, its weight concentrated in texture rather than mass. Press a thumb across the surface and feel the topography shift -- cool oxidized grooves giving way to the warm interruption of gold. Over time, contact points will lighten while the crevices deepen. The ring remembers how you wear it.
